The Record Company, California’s sensational rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Ogden Theater!
The Record Company was formed in Los Angeles in 2011 and is a trio consisting of Chris Vos (vocals, guitars, lap steel, pedal steel, and harmonica), Alex Stiff (bass, guitars, piano, and vocals), Marc Cazorla (drums, piano, and vocals). Their musical style can be best described as a blend of rock 'n' roll (a genre of popular music that originated - in the United States during the late 1940s and early 1950s - from African American musical styles such as gospel, jazz, boogie woogie, and rhythm and blues, and country music) with blues rock (a fusion genre combining elements of blues and rock, characterized by bluesy improvisation, the twelve bar blues, extended boogie jams typically focused on the electric guitar player, and often a heavier, riff oriented sound). They cite blues musicians like John Lee Hooker, early punk bands like The Stooges, and rock bands like The Rolling Stones as their main influences. They’ve had a stellar career with 1 studio album, 3 singles, 2 vinyl singles, and 3 extended plays. They’ve been nominated for a Grammy Award (for Best Contemporary Blues Album) and have opened for B.B. King, Social Distortion, Buddy Guy, Grace Potter, and Trombone Shorty.
Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to rock and roll and blues rock music!
