San Holo, the Netherlands' sensational electronic dance music artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Ogden Theater!
San Holo (birth name Sander van Dijck) was born in Zoetermeer (the Netherlands) in 1990 and is a DJ, composer, musician, and record producer. He began his musical journey by studying music production at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam. He started to build a following on SoundCloud with his Don't Touch the Classics remix series and his breakthrough came with his remix of Dr. Dre's The Next Episode (it now has over 144 million views on YouTube). While his style can be broadly classified as electronic dance music, it's best described as a blend of trap (a subgenre of Southern hip hop that originated in the 1990s and is characterized by ominous lyrics, heavy kick drums from a Roland TR 808 synthesizer, double time division hi hats, and layered synthesizers) and future bass (a broad genre offering a wide variety of sounds and rhythms normally produced by a synthesizer). He's had a stellar career with 3 extended plays, 12 singles (one of which peaked at #13 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart), and he's collaborated with Father Dude, The Nicholas, Yellow Claw, James Vincent McMorrow, and many other renowned artists. He's also performed at Coachella and Ultra Music Festival.
Don't miss your chance to see this artist add a unique touch to future bass and trap music!
